Nickel-chrome-based Excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, strength at high temperatures, and creep resistance are all characteristics of Inconel. Inconel can withstand high temperatures and extremely corrosive environments for two reasons. The passivation layer that forms when Inconel is heated is what gives it its superior corrosion resistance. These two characteristics make Inconel alloys ideal for uses such as deep ocean well drilling and hot segment power plants.
Types of Inconel
An alloy that is excellent at withstanding heat, corrosion, and all the other things that can damage your machine is Inconel 600 Pipes and Tubes. It doesn’t break or lose strength even at low temperatures, making it ideal for high-temperature settings like gas turbines, heaters, and boilers.
Due to its high strength under 650 degrees Celsius, ease of formability, and ease of soldering, this material is very beneficial for chemical and heat treatment equipment.

Inconel 601 has great resistance to oxidation at high temperatures, good resistance to carbonization, strong resistance to oxidizing sulfurous atmospheres, and exceptional strength during stress corrosion cracking thanks to its regulated carbon content and grain size.
Inconel 617 is a highly corrosion-resistant alloy that contains an ideal ratio of nickel, chromium, cobalt, and molybdenum. In addition, this alloy resists oxidation and carbonization at high temperatures.
Nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten A corrosion-resistant alloy called Inconel 686 has exceptional resistance to pitting, stress corrosion, and mixed acid corrosion. A corrosion-resistant alloy called Inconel 686 is frequently used in the chemical industry, the marine industry, and the control of bad air quality.
Inconel 690 is resistant to corrosion caused by chloride, temperature, high water stress, strong oxidizing environments, and HNO2-HF mixed corrosion. This alloy is widely used in parts resistant to nitric acid, steam generators, and nuclear waste treatment systems.
Inconel 625 has strong tensile and flexural capabilities at low temperatures, even at 980 °C, and it has great resistance to strain corrosion in a saline environment. This is in addition to its excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance.
