Beryllium is an age-hardening alloy with the highest strength of any copper-based alloy. Beryllium is composed of 0.5 – 3% beryllium and a few other elements. There are various grades and applications for beryllium copper. Grinding, drilling, ring cutting, heat treatment, polishing, roughing, and sawing are all possible with this alloy. This alloy is highly resistant to non-oxidizing acids and plastic degradation products.
